Especially in places like this, snug at the intersection of tree and turf. This photogrpah has an interesting intimacy.

What do you think of the role of the shadow at the left? I can’t say I was consciously aware of it when I took the photo, but I think it adds to it. It sort of keeps the snow in its place, making the spot cozy.
