Time for Ironweed

August 27, 2016

Soon after leaving the silo and entering the path through Caley Reservation I spotted ironweed. This flower has to be one of my favorites. I love the intense purple of the blooms even if they do signal the approaching end of summer.

  1. Oh, now you made me feel sad. I’d forgotten about it. I love Ironweed, too, but it’s not out here. Seriously, thanks for posting – beautiful contrast between the colors.

    • Sorry I made you sad, Lynn. This is one of those scenes that jump out at you. I had just started walking down the path, and boom, there was my composition.
