Amaryllis belladonna 1

September 3, 2014

When I see the downloaded photographs I’ve taken of flowers—or birds—I seem always to say, “Yea, so what.” Flowers and birds are beautiful; my photographs of them: eh. Last month, however, shafts of the sun were blasting into these Amaryllis belladonna flowers in Schoepfle Garden, leaving the surrounding area dark. Spot metering enhanced the contrast in the image, and I was actually pleased when I saw the downloads. Here’s the first of three.

    • Thank you, Ken. It really wasn’t that hard; the sun did all the work. I should remember to try spot metering more often.
