  2. I have a fascination with straight trunked trees. When seen in a cluster like these they form such strong vertical ines. We live in an area with a lot of woodland and I am constantly seeing trees kike these – I must get out into them with my camera.

    • I wish I knew what kind of trees these are. Some people can identify trees without their leaves, but I’m not one of them. These all seem about the same age, which makes me wonder if the area was burned over immediately before they planted themselves.

      • I too am hopeless at identifying trees minus leaves (not too good either when they have leaves). There are some that have very recognizable shapes. I think you may be right – an event occurred for them all to be similarly sized.
