More Barns of Northern Ohio 1
November 28, 2016
Yesterday started as partly sunny but turned into really sunny. Yea! Found a few barns in my peregrinations. I’m afraid my polarizing filter made the sky in this photo a bit more blue than it really was.

I love white barns. I started to photograph a particular one not far from my home at various times of the year. Last year I went back for the Spring shot and it was gone. Replaced by an apple orchard.

Aw, I’m sorry, Ken. I guess it could have been worse, eh? Like a parking lot rather than an apple orchard. Bet you’re glad you at least have the earlier shots.

I am. And if you’ve ever had an Upstate NY apple you would know why.

That IS a lovely barn, with the bare-branched tree counterpoint. You can always dial back the blue! Those filters can really help, and sometimes they distort, but I bet it helped keep the white from being too bright.

Oh, yeah . . . I forgot about cutting the luminance. Duh. . . . OK, just went into Lightroom and did it. Guess what. I like the intense blue better.
