Linda Grashoff's Photography Adventures

Home Sweet Home (Hello) 3

August 4, 2016

Continuing to explore my new surroundings, I ventured out well after dinner the other day. I started at the pond people call Rock Pond and wandered up Wildflower Hill.

  1. I’ve just realized that you have moved (having checked back through some posts of yours). That must have been around the time I was otherwise occupied with my daughter’s wedding. I hope it went well, Linda. This past year seems to have whizzed by for us, I can’t believe that a year ago we were about to meet the estate agent and see over the house that we ended up buying. That seems a lifetime away now.

    • I understand about the “lifetime away,” Andy. We’ve been in our new place for five weeks, and when I go back to the old house to do more clean-up in preparation to selling it, I don’t feel much connection anymore. I certainly did not think I could divorce myself from it so quickly. So yes, I’d have to say the move went well.

      • I think that when a property is devoid of the possessions that created a home, it becomes easier to ‘disconnect’. Good to hear your news Linda.

  2. Just gorgeous – I love the light, and the different angle of the stems, and of course, the twilight.

    • Thank you, Lynn. You have identified what appealed to me, too.
