As you might be able to tell, we don’t clean up our woods. I wonder what the next owners will do.

There’s nothing wrong with a forever wild area in the yard. This is very nice.

Thanks, Ken. When we first moved in, I told David we should round up all the dead trees and burn them or something. Wrong, as I quickly learned from my environmentalist husband. I thought the woods would look better cleaned up. Funny how one’s aesthetics quickly follow one’s learning the right thing to do.

Actually, the woods behind our house belong to the town of Webster ( Where Life is Worth Living ). I thought I could convince them to clean it up when we first moved in.They sent someone over to check on it and they didn’t think anything was wrong. Now I’m grateful that it looks so well as is.

This has such a romantic feeling, the rhythms and mystery in it. I’m glad you’re posting this series, and let’s hope the new owners know what’s best for the planet.
