Thank you so much, Vera. That’s what I do, too: get lost in them. It’s like a meditation; I’m not thinking about anything else when I photograph the shale. In fact, I’m barely thinking at all, at least not in words.

Thank you, Andy. It’s not even close to fall here, but in July some of the less robust leaves start leaving the trees and arranging themselves on the riverbank and forest floor. It should only get better from here on.
