The Tile Company

March 4, 2014

Walking around the tile company in New London, Ohio, photographing its lovely corrugated siding and seeing sagging weatherbeaten pallets of quarry tile and brick around the premises, I thought it was abandoned property. Not so. The rather fresh handwritten note on the front door says, “Sorry we missed you. We will be open by appointment. Please call [phone number] leave a message and we will get back with you. Thank you!” Peeking in the windows, I could see stacks and stacks of different kinds of tile.

  1. Well, there are a number of aspects of this frontage that make it look as if it has closed down or been neglected. For a start the ‘name’ could do with a bit of paint. Well spotted, Linda

    • Thanks, Andy. This was quite a day for photographs. Almost made it OK to back up my car into a utility pole when leaving.
