Here you can see the Youghiogheny River in the distance, muddy from recent rains.

Oh, this is so pleasing! Those crossed tree trunks are very graceful, the light behind them mesmerizing, then you have the rich reflections, and everything is so clean and fresh looking. I also like the rock textures, they’re very real-looking and they bring something more solid to the scene. All the elements come together so well. You must have nailed the aperture & exposure! This shows that one doesn’t have to be at the Grand Canyon, or some extraordinary location, to show real beauty in the outdoors.

As I said to someone else (or was it you?) who commented recently, if I had not been with other people, I would have stayed in this spot a lot longer. I know there were more pickings. It was darkish, but not so dark that I needed more than ISO 400, 1/60 of a second, and ƒ5.0. I’m very big on nonextraordinary locations, though I’m not sure this qualifies except in contrast to places like the Grand Canyon. Parking lots with dumpsters in them will do nicely. 😉
