Lovely lush greens and well-managed depth of field to get all those leaves sharp

It was a minor miracle that the depth of field was right. I didn’t expect this little tree frog to hop up on the leaf in front of me. It’s amazing that he stayed still enough for me to photograph him, and amazing that he was in focus. Dumb luck. I wasn’t as lucky with the toad I saw less than a minute later; you won’t see that photograph.

Wow, what a tiny little guy – they’re always around but so hard to see. I feel really lucky if I ever see one. I like all the details, the rich greens and all the little bits that have fallen onto the leaves.

This one was easy to see because she (as I’ll call her this time; you’ll see why) jumped on the leaf right in front of me. I think this photograph is a frog’s version of Christina’s World. Do you see that attitude in the posture?
