I love the fading of nature in the autumn. 🙂

Me, too. I think it may often be overlooked as we concentrate on colorful fall leaves. Thanks for writing, Cathy.

You’re welcome, Linda. Most people only love the abundance of spring, the heat of summer and the brilliance of fall, but I love the bleak and stark nature of winter. I love the trees without leaves, the fading or even dead foliage, and the brisk air. I much prefer winter to the heat and humidity of summer. 🙂

This is seriously up close and personal! It makes me think of a theater curtain. It also seems like there is a whole lot of activity there, biologically speaking – it just has that look.

As is so often true with me, I was after color and shape or line. Looking at it again now, I almost think I was too close, but how else to show those colors and shapes without distraction. I guess if you look at this photo on a smart phone, it won’t seem so intimidating.
