Due to Technical Difficulties . . .
December 4, 2017
Unforeseen problems with my Lightroom catalog mean no fresh photograph for today. I think I’ve figured out the problem and hope to post something new tomorrow. Meanwhile, here is a photograph from 2012.
Absolutely beautiful shot, Linda!!

Thank you, Ken. When I get Lightroom straightened out, I’ll be able to see where in Florida I took this. Think I’d like to go back.

Thanks, Kathy. It doesn’t look quite real to these Northerner eyes, but it is definitely not altered other than to adjust contrast, etc.

Thank you, Peter. Now I just have to get up the nerve to import all the photos from my Lightroom 6 catalog, which I created on my Ohio computer, to the Lightroom 5 catalog on this Florida computer. Or better yet, download Lightroom 6 to this computer—if I have the necessary information here with me! Glad you like this photo. Hope I don’t have to run another old one tomorrow.

You are/were probably frustrated, but I’m not! Great patterns!

Yes, I’m—well, maybe not frustrated so much as terrified that I will do something to screw up Lightroom on this Florida computer. See comment to Peter, above. Glad you like these patterns. I love these old live oak trees down here.

Gorgeous. I love how the tree branches look almost like they have been braided together.

Thank you, Atreyee (or is it Jesse?). I hadn’t thought about the tree branches looking as if they were braided, but you’re right!

What a beautiful shot to fall back on, Linda. woven branches contrasting with the sharper lines of the fronds, and that essential path through. A great image.

Thanks, Andy. I think you’re right about the path being essential. The image just wouldn’t be as inviting without it.
