WordPress has been rendering all your work in this series as long thin banners, Linda. Some retain their strength and beauty ( like this one) but some lose so much by the arbitrary crop straight through the centre. I particularly like this one – possibly in part because I have seen quite a few images of Death Valley in the last few days and the folds in the rocks in your shot are so similar to the folds in the vast landscapes of Death Valley.

Thank you, Andy. Of course I had to Google images of Death Valley. I see what you mean! . . . Wonder if WP will revise its new reader practices.
