Nice bands of color and texture – and so much detail to get lost in.

Thanks, Lynn. Many of these Woods from the Edge of the Road photos look oversharpened to me. Is it just my eyes? I tried lessening the sharpening in Lightroom, and it didn’t seem to make a difference. Any idea what’s going on?

I don’t know – did you play with the contrast, too? In some cases, like here, I like extra detail. It depends on the subject. I think it gives it an etching look, and it makes it more flat, which is good in this instance, don’t you think?

I don’t know—I don’t think I like it. When I mailed this series of photos in e-mail, they don’t look like that, so now I’m thinking that it may be some compression that WordPress does.
