  2. Those little guys look tick-ish, but I doubt ticks hang out on the water surface. And is that the film sort of pulling away from things along the bottom? This one’s nice – the composition is simple, the colors gorgeous, and there are lots of things to find when you look close!

    • I was afraid these insects or beetles or whatever they are might be ticks, too, so I Googled that a while back. They aren’t, thank goodness. But who are they? Dunno. By “pulling away from things” are you referring to the puckering? My mentor, Norrie Robbins, tells me the puckers indicate where the film is losing water molecules (in a chemical-action way, not just drying out). Thanks; happy you like this one.
