Yes, that’s true. If I had to pick a favorite of these two. I think the shot with the bolt would be it. It’s a great shot and im appreciating the square format lately.

Thank you, Ken. Interesting that you are “appreciating the square format lately.” Lately I’ve been noticing that many of my photographs that just don’t work in a horizontal or vertical format do work square. This pleases me especially because it encourages me to shoot when I think I see something even if I can’t get the composition right in the viewfinder. Maybe I can even learn to see a square format in the rectangular viewfinder.

One of my first cameras was a Yashica D, a twin lens 2 1/4″ square medium format camera. It developed a few mechanical problems and I stopped using it but I did like the square format going back many years ago. Now I have a renewed interest in it.
