  1. Yes, that’s true. If I had to pick a favorite of these two. I think the shot with the bolt would be it. It’s a great shot and im appreciating the square format lately.

    • Thank you, Ken. Interesting that you are “appreciating the square format lately.” Lately I’ve been noticing that many of my photographs that just don’t work in a horizontal or vertical format do work square. This pleases me especially because it encourages me to shoot when I think I see something even if I can’t get the composition right in the viewfinder. Maybe I can even learn to see a square format in the rectangular viewfinder.

      • One of my first cameras was a Yashica D, a twin lens 2 1/4″ square medium format camera. It developed a few mechanical problems and I stopped using it but I did like the square format going back many years ago. Now I have a renewed interest in it.
