Sarasota (Florida) is big on ballet. Besides a supporting a professional troupe, the Sarasota Ballet offers lessons for the aspiring. On January 15, 2006, the dancers performed on blocked-off downtown streets. Driving from Sarasota back to Ohio on April 18 I took the Blue Ridge Parkway for the first time. The glories of the parkway did not spoil me; I still loved seeing the sycamores back home.

1 I’m sure the performance was good, but backstage offered more of my cup of tea.

2 I’m  trying to think of this photograph having soft focus rather than being out of focus.
