Aren’t dumpsters amazing? Thanks for writing, Cathy.

That rush of blue is so unexpected. Nice work, Linda.

Thanks, Ken. I rotated this one 90 degrees to the right. The blue would maybe have been more expected at the top, where it really was.

Wow – there’s a prehistoric creature entering ‘stage left’ with very long claws, I think – or did my wife feed me leaves that were slightly dodgy at lunchtime today!

I was thinking it was a hungry friendly monster with sharp teeth. But maybe that has something to do with my own meal . . .

Were you saving this beauty! I’m surprised to hear you rotated it – but it really is a nice composition this way, a little oriental in feeling. I find myself wanting to sink into the blue, and being equally drawn to the animal-like shape on the left, then noticing the nice texture in between, and how it links the shape and the blue. One of the best!

Not exactly saving, but I did have a sequence in mind. I’m glad the rotation surprised you. I was pretty sure that I’d shot it straight on enough so that perspective wouldn’t warp it weirdly. Thanks for your nice words, Lynn!
