Thank you, Cathy. It’s mysterious to me, too, in a literal sense. I don’t remember what this is a photograph of.

Thanks, phppi. It’s called Intentional Camera Movement (ICM). If you Google it, you will find many articles about this technique. Here’s one: https://digital-photography-school.com/intentional-camera-movement-landscape/.

I might be able to figure it out if I look at the whole photo shoot, but I just worked on this from the photos that came up in a search of the tag Intentional Camera Movement. But maybe I like that I don’t know what it is.

Sometimes I really think that, and sometimes that makes me happy, and sometimes not—because if it’s that easy, what’s the point?

WAY too serious for me right now – but again, it could be an appropriate question for the more introspective time of year. But I’m confident that you’d arrive at answers to the question that would work.

I await your introspection, Lynn. I usually get over that concern (the what’s-the-point idea) pretty quickly. Photography is just too much fun to stay mired in the what-does-it-all-mean mode indefinitely.
