We don’t get much lichen along the Vermilion River, so I enjoyed it a lot along the Youghiogheny. That may be my favorite shade of green.

Ah, this one is beautiful – I see galaxies! Lichen green, pure lovliness, so subtle and calming. And the slate gray-blue, and that warm granite pink color. Delicious.

Actually, not granite but sandstone. Forgive my scientific obsession. . . . You really could say that it’s a granite-pink color without saying it’s granite, couldn’t you . . .
