The composition and colors are great, I just want to believe this is paint, there is that instinctive turning away from bird poop…but the more I look, the more I can convince myself it IS paint. Ah, I feel better now. 😉

I’m pretty sure it’s paint, Lynn. It would have had to be a very large bird, and not too many Great Blue Herons fly over downtown Oberlin. Many dumpsters, apparently, have had paint cans dumped into them.

Yes, well, if it had been the calling card of the Great Blue Heron, I still would have photographed it, so you were right to be concerned. 😉
