We have many areas that have old and new contrasts. They are always interesting to me.

I was drawn to the brickwork, which holds such history. I didn’t want to include the newer buildings in the frame, but my lens wasn’t long enough to exclude them. That turned out to be a good thing because in short order I realized the photo would be more interesting if I included them. Some lessons occur quickly.
