Every time I’ve been here, the lagoon has looked placid like this, but a friend told me that when she went to the Venice Myakka River Park, the lagoon was full of alligators.

i was just thinking how wispy, misty, fragile and fairylandish this looked and then i read your comment. a couple of alligators would certainly change all that!

Thank you, Mrs. Suvi. When they lurk underwater, you can usually see bubbles of air escaping. I didn’t see any bubbles. But I was still a bit wary.
