Downriver Walk 2015—The Green Scenery
One of the treats in walking downriver is visiting a small waterfall along the way. It’s not a great waterfall as waterfalls go, but this immediate area doesn’t have many waterfalls, so it feels quite special. The second photo shows the same area facing away from the waterfall. It’s the same largish dead tree in both photographs. The river is on the other side of the hill-sort-of-thing on the left. The third photo shows a seasonal tributary. These scenes must look much different now compared to how they looked when I took these photos a month ago; the green most surely is muted or changed to gold.
Romancing Reality 
Well done, Linda. Our annual walk on the uplands near Chance Creek and the Vemilion turned out to be much less enchanting. The loss of the ash trees has wrecked havoc on what was once a familiar landscape.

That looks like a pretty special waterfall to me. I love the serenity of the second and third photos. It helps me experience the sense of inner peace. Thank you again for capturing the beauty of nature.

Thank you, Patricia. This waterfall is hidden from view when you walk in the river. What you notice is a very much smaller and shallower waterfall, and as you approach that smaller waterfall, you hear the bigger one. You have to climb up and around to see the bigger one. The water from the waterfall and the pool at its base have carved a basin into the land so that standing beside the pool you are almost surrounded by cliffs and that hill-sort-of-thing.

Thank you, Joshi. As the colors of the leaves around me change, these photos look so very green to me! Ohio won’t look like this again until next summer.
