  1. I’m sometimes amazed at the willingness and audacity of grafetti artists to express themselves. Work like this is not as haphazard as some might think.

    • There were many simple (if you can call that kind of lettering simple) tags here, but also some genuine art work. I could have spent a longer time here . . .

  2. I love graffiti! I understand that it’s vandalism and etc., but I can’t help myself. And this “nowhere” part of your shot is great!

    (I had the chance to chat with a graffiti artist in New Mexico in March; he’d painted – with permission, he said – the back wall of the restaurant where he worked. He declined to let us photograph him saying, “I had permission for THIS, but…”)

    • This structure was not only an overpass over the road but also a bridge over the French Broad River, so it had many available surfaces. I’ll show more.
