    • Thanks. I wonder what native-born Floridians think of these senescing fronds. I wonder if they find them totally unremarkable. I just love how aging changes not only their coloration but also their flexibility. Though I also like the young spiky green version of saw palmetto leaves, I love how curvy and graceful they become in old age.

    • I really hit this park at the right time; the sun was helpful all along (until it wasn’t). In the case of this shot I had to be careful not to put my own shadow where I didn’t want it.
