Probably whoever put the washers there didn’t consciously compose a still life—but I guess you never know. Happy New Year to you, Ken.

I love it. It’s puzzling – something about the perspective – it plays several songs at once! Isn’t chance a wonderful thing.

I think it’s puzzling, too. It seems more three-dimensional than most photographs. Maybe it has something to do with the left-most washer’s not being flat—it’s a spiral in space— so the washer next to it sort of tucks in. I don’t know. And yes, chance is a wonderful thing. I’d have no photographs without it!
