This painting makes me think of the fish houses you see near the shores of the Gulf of Mexico. In reality it’s the painting on the side of a boat. The second image shows more of the boat.
I can’t quite figure out what part of the boat this actually is – but it doesn’t really matter! That first shot is a superb abstract that stands on its own. Very well spotted Linda.
I don’t know the proper names of the parts of boats, but it’s the back part, perpendicular to the horizon. The boat is sitting on top of another boat. A friend wrote me to say she didn’t know what a fish house was. I found this page on the Internet with pictures of these structures.
I love your detail shot. It takes a good eye to spot andd isolate these details.
