Cloudy Day Brings Out the Red in Mangrove Roots

It might just be my imagination, but I thought these aerial mangrove roots looked redder yesterday morning than they do on a typical sunny day. Saw them at the Quick Point Nature Preserve, outside Sarasota. 12072014 Quick Point-89

      I did enjoy the dark ground with the red roots yesterday, but I kept hoping the sun would come out sometime while I was photographing. Didn’t happen.
