Looking up by the Stream

June 24, 2014

The foliage around the stream that runs through Jelks Preserve is pretty dense. It’s fun to look up from time to time and notice all the kinds of plants that grow there.

  1. Unusual but successful orientation of this, Linda. And so much to enjoy in this shot.

    • Thanks, Andy. I’m glad the orientation works for you. We are not looking at the trunk of the tree (it’s either a live oak or a water oak) but at a very thick branch overarching the stream. I tried rotating the image clockwise to a vertical position, but that looked quite wrong.

      • There was me thinking it was a trunk! Always worth rotating, turning upside down sometimes – and suddenly you see a facet you did not see before. This really worked, Linda.
