Thank you, Ken. When Janet and I go Jelks Preserve, we spend a lot of time at this stream. Most of my shots don’t turn out because of leaves that intrude into the composition. But sometimes I get lucky, and sometimes I’m able to salvage a shot with a square crop.

Thank you, Deanna. Here’s the county page on Jelks Preserve: https://www.scgov.net/NaturalLands/Pages/JelksPreserve.aspx. The directions say “merge” onto North River Road, but they should say, “Turn right onto North River Road.” To get to the part of the stream where I took this photograph, go to your left as soon as you walk past the gate, or maybe a little past the big sign with the map. It’s not an official path. Good luck!

Thank you, Andy. The little disturbance in the upper left corner kept me fascinated for many many shots. And the reflection of that huge fern leaf added a lot to the scene, I think. Glad one of my attempts turned out.
