Five Points Patio 1

Patrick’s restaurant used to be located at one of the points where Main Street intersects with Pineapple and Central in downtown Sarasota. People call the place where the streets come together Five Points. When Patrick’s moved, the pavement of its former outdoor eating area suddenly became much more visible. I was enamored of it as I walked by April 19. It looks like Patrick’s wasn’t the first tenant of that location. I wonder what HW was.
Romancing Reality 
I can’t quite explain why, but this image really intrigues me. It has the look of a very precise watercolour, and the arrangement of the ‘objects’ (for want of a better word) is so unusual. It really is something rather special photographically, of something that thousands have walked past without a glance. Great observation, Linda.

Thank you, Andy! Yes, I’m sure many people have walked past this area without a thought about its possible beauty or at least interest. Some people were eating outside at a restaurant across the street, and I could hear their voices but not make out what they were saying. I imagined that they were marveling at this crazy photographer taking pictures (and pictures and pictures) of the sidewalk.
