Coping with the Lush Greens of the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park

April 1, 2014

At times the lush green colors in the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park almost overwhelmed me. Getting those colors into the camera in framed chunks seemed like a way to cope with them, tame them.

  1. The narrow track completes the composition beautifully, Linda. It frames those trunks so very effectively.

    • Thanks, Andy. I guess you can’t really tell in this photograph, but the “narrow track” is a small stream. Couldn’t get the sun to glint off of it at the same time as I held the composition in the viewfinder.

      • Oops. A very muddy stream. I’ve just looked again and still think it ‘looks’ like a small track. Whatever…….the muddy stream completes the composition beautifully. How’s that!! And if it had ‘glinted’ in the sun, I suspect it wouldn’t have worked quite as well.

        • Oh! Hadn’t thought of that. I’ll bet you’re right. Guess I was luckier than I even thought.
