Nothing/Everything Spectacular
September 25, 2011
Yesterday morning was dismal and damp, and the river and surrounding woods held nothing spectacular for me. After making stops at all my usual places inside the Schoepfle Gardens I climbed up on the Peace Rock. Sometimes I see something special from that vantage point, but usually what I do is realize that it’s all special, all the rocks, all the trees, all the leaves, all the water, everything. It’s good just to be looking at the woods and listening to the river, even if it’s cloudy and I can’t find my composition. The first photograph shows the Peace Rock in situ (middle distance, left), and the second one shows what I saw from atop the rock, looking in the other direction. The other photos show some of the other rocks and leaves near and in the river. Nothing/everything spectacular.
