Thanks, Ken. I’m not sure how to justify the inclusion of the fly swatter. Maybe it emphasizes the practicality of the farmhouse (in the past, at least). But mostly, I think, I just liked how it looked.

Happy you like the fly swatter, Adrian. With so little light inside the house, the restricted palette was inevitable.

Ah, yes to the fly swatter! It provides a wonderful counterpoint to the windows, which are very romantic, and the exact shape of it & where it’s hung are comforting and orderly. And prosaic enough to make me smile. Great one!
