    • Thanks, Ken. I’m not sure how to justify the inclusion of the fly swatter. Maybe it emphasizes the practicality of the farmhouse (in the past, at least). But mostly, I think, I just liked how it looked.

    • Happy you like the fly swatter, Adrian. With so little light inside the house, the restricted palette was inevitable.

  3. Ah, yes to the fly swatter! It provides a wonderful counterpoint to the windows, which are very romantic, and the exact shape of it & where it’s hung are comforting and orderly. And prosaic enough to make me smile. Great one!
