An Archived Barn
We’ve had a string of dreary days here in northeast Ohio. Today is forecast to be partly sunny, so I will go out with the camera. I know I should try to photograph dreariness, but . . . Meanwhile, I’ve run out of recent photos to share, so this is from the archives. This barn is around the corner, sort of, from where we used to live. I took its photograph July 30, 2012.

Thank you, Harrie. Maybe I’ll find some memorable barns today. I’m about to leave the house to look.

Wonderful shot. We don’t use the term “dreary” here in Webster (Where life is worth living). We say “partially overcast”.

It’s good if that helps the good people of Webster (where life is worth living) to cope. Around here, though, we don’t get “partial.” We get totally. And that’s dreary.

An interesting composition, and I see green in the reflected trees…it must have been summer….we’re dreary, too, and rainy. In less than a month the light will be on the increase. Meanwhile, we do what we can, and this is nice to see.

Yes, July 30 in 2012, to be exact. Oh, you’re right. Less than a month! Yippee. Glad you find the composition interesting.

Strange little windows in the vastness of the wood. We are bright but cold over here in the UK – sharp frosts overnight, and blue skies by day. Off out for lunch and a walk with camera…and wife. Or should it be with wife…and camera

Yes, the windows are strange—more photogenic that way, though I’m sure the barn builder didn’t have that in mind. Glad you have bright though cold. Bright always wins in my book. Hope you brought back some goodies from your walk—including your wife.
