      Thank you, Joshi. I think those of us who live in this part of the U.S. tend to take these fall colors for granted. I think that when they are reflected in water we may pay closer attention and be more appreciative. At least I hope so.

      Thanks, Harrie. Isn’t it wonderful how the rippling water breaks up the image? I love it, so I hope it doesn’t make you too crazy.

    I really like the contrast between the water reflections and the round rock in the left corner…and oh, you could get lost in those reflections, the intricate detail, so many colors.

      Thanks, Lynn. Getting all that detail—as you know, I’m sure—is largely a function of shutter speed. I shot this at 1/125th of a second, a little faster than usual. I always shoot ripples at at least 1/80th of a second. There is, however, a big exception coming up with
      Fall Reflections in the Vermilion River 8. Checking just now, I see that I shot that one at only 1/20th of a second. That’s very unusual for me, and probably I did it by mistake. (Mistakes can be good, too, right?)
