Had to Get Myself Back to the Garden 1
July 18, 2016
I hadn’t been to Schoepfle Garden since May, and I was really missing it, so Saturday I drove over. The water level in the river was quite low, and the side pool I call Peace Pool was nearly empty. I (selfishly) love droughts because I can see what I can’t see and walk where I can’t walk when the water level is high. The blue of the mudstone, usually immersed, always surprises me, and I spent some time looking at it.
This one’s beautiful – even lyrical!

Thanks, Lynn! I love it when the silt gives everything a wash of the same color—well, not everything.
