Letting David carry home the veggies 🙂 January 9, I lingered downtown, stalking the alleys, storefronts, and other urban details.

    • It’s more urban than the posts from the recent past. I like it. It’s a very dynamic composition. I’m a city kid and I do identify with it.

      • Oh, OK, Ken. Wasn’t sure what was unexpected. I enjoy a break from leaves and rocks and water sometimes. This series was a lot of fun.

  2. That’s a pretty fine set of urban details you’ve spotted!

    • Thanks, Melinda. You may be interested to know that I thought of making this one black and white.

      • The stucco would have look great in B&W – the textures would have really shown up well – but it sure would have been a shame to not have those lavender walls…color was the way to go on this one!

  3. All so perfectly arranged, as if they were expecting you! Would anyone in Ohio paint their entrance on those colors? Maybe not.

    • Absolutely not. I have a friend who says she always knows when I get to Florida because suddenly everything is colorful. And yes, it looked like an arrangement to me, too. Thanks for your comments, Lynn.

  5. Good God you have the same trash bins as we have! But we would not be popular stuffing cardboard into a bin in that way – the lid doesn’t shut!!

  6. Really, the same bins?! I’m not sure these pieces of cardboard belong in this bin at all. I don’t think this is a recycling bin, and in Sarasota there’s a law about recycling cardboard; you aren’t supposed to put it out with the garbage.
