Liebster Award Lite

My friend Marci Rich maintains a personable, insightful, and generous blog called The Midlife Second Wife. About six weeks ago Marci received a Liebster Award for her blog, and a week later she fulfilled the conditions of the award by passing it on to five other bloggers—including me. The idea is to increase readership of good blogs that have fewer than 200 subscribers. I thank Marci sincerely for honoring Romancing Reality in this way, but I have to say I’ve had a grueling five weeks trying to find five other blogs to so honor. Of course I had to choose a hard way to do it, deciding that I would give the award only to photography blogs. Hah! I spent more hours than I care to confess looking for good photography blogs with fewer than 200 subscribers. What I found is that if photography blogs are good, they have more than 200 subscribers. The two terrific blogs I did find (and whose authors agreed to accept the award) are new, and if I don’t hand off this award pronto, they will soon have more than 200 subscribers as well. Please take a look at them. And even if you aren’t a midlife second wife, check Marci’s blog, too. You’ll find everyday wisdom in her posts, as well as some yummy recipes.

LensScaper, the best part of this award for me was that it stimulated me to find the blogs that you and MariAnne MacGregor maintain. Your work is inspiring, and I’m sure you will soon pass the 200 mark. Best wishes.

Linda, the blogs that you’ve selected are gorgeous! I love discovering new ways of looking at the world, and these two photographers surely have a unique perspective as well as an artist’s touch. Thanks for your kind words about TMSW, and enjoy the liebe!
